Photo number 1. Ava's new tent from where else? Ikea. She likes it but as this picture goes to show, no matter what toys you buy for your child, they still want to play with forbidden things. (Rafal forbade her to play with the DVDs, not me)

Photo number 2. Puzzle night. We stayed up until 10ish trying to figure out this puzzle. Im kind of sad we won't be working on this together much longer. I wonder if Rafal will finish it while I am gone. That's the man's beer. He's the drinker in the family.

Photo number 3. Ava eats beach sand. It's best not to go to the beach with an aversion to sand because a toddler will throw it on you, in your bag, and all over your food.

Photo number 4. I am so thankful to have the husband I do. I don't know of another man who has enough patience to put up with my antics. Also, Ava has him wrapped around her finger. Too cute to watch these too.

Review and Preview

It's been a min since my last post and for those of you who have missed this glimpse into my life, I apologize. Basically, I'm referring to my mom!

I have settled in quiet nicely into the Lakeside abode. There is an abundance of dirt and cows and all things that go along with living in the country. I enjoy living with my husband once again except I forgot about how high maintenance he is. He expects a clean house and a home cooked dinner every day. I mean. The audacity of this man who works 40+ hours a week and goes to the park with Ava and I daily to request such a thing. I still try to keep myself busy with mom and tot play dates and I've been known to just hang out at Barnes and Noble and let Ava go wild in the kid section. And go wild, she does.

We are in the midst of preparations for our travels to Germany. We are writing up a letter allowing me to take Ava out of the country. Rafal has refused to sign this on numerous occasions as he feels she won't remember him. "Ava is going to forget me when you're gone." He'll say gloomy, sometimes out of no where. "Probably, but she'll remember you again when she sees you." is usually my response. I am getting all of our financial affairs in order since Rafal has to take over bill paying and Gunner is coming to stay with Rafal while we are out of town. I worry for Gunner that he won't get enough exercise thus rendering him miserable. I remind Rafal constantly to be good to him and run him every day. Some may think this is a little extreme, but I'm a dog person and Gunner has my heart.

Ava is getting signed up for swim lessons at a local public pool. I don't think she knows it, but it will be loads of fun. What toddler doesn't love splashing around in the water? The lessons are right before we leave for Germany so I hope to keep up progress at the public pool over there. Thankfully, I found myself a nice one piece bathing suit so I am able to accommodate my wee one and not scare off other children and/or adults.

I must also apologize for lack of pictures on this post however any pictures I would have to show have already been uploaded to my instagram feed and redundancy has never been my thing.

Until next time.
